I’m often asked, “Is this detox going to make me feel sick?”
I’d love to say that healing your body will make you feel amazing from day one… that you’ll leap out of bed with boundless energy and experience a whole new you.
But the truth is, cleansing mucus from your gut, tissues, and lungs will likely make you feel worse before you feel better.
Healing is not a sprint. It’s a rebuilding process. And building a healthy body takes years, not days or weeks. I always tell my tribe: You can pay the farmer now or the doctor later. And as the old saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
Let’s take a look at what your body is already doing to rebuild itself:
Your Body’s Regeneration Timeline:
- Skin: Every 27–30 days
(Your outer layer is constantly renewing—shedding the old, revealing the new.) - Liver: Full regeneration in 300–500 days; partial in just 5–7
(It can regrow from just 25% of its tissue—nothing short of miraculous.) - Stomach Lining: Every 2–9 days
(To withstand harsh acids, your lining is rebuilt nearly every week.) - Intestinal Lining: Every 2–5 days
(The fastest-replicating tissue in your body—always turning over to protect you.) - Red Blood Cells: Every 100–120 days
(Formed in your marrow and recycled by the spleen to keep oxygen flowing.)
Your body is designed to renew. But we rarely stop to ask—what is it using to rebuild?
The answer? The food you eat.
Every bite is either fueling your regeneration or feeding your degeneration.
So if you want to feel amazing… if you want inflammation, fatigue, hormone imbalances, and excess weight to run for the hills… if you want vibrant skin, strong immunity, and a future where you feel bulletproof— then feel a little sick today so you can be well tomorrow.
This is the promise waiting on the other side of a deep cleanse, and the next year will pass whether we take action or not.
At the center of all renewal is digestion.
Digestion is your body’s sacred alchemy—where nourishment becomes energy and life is sustained from the inside out.
We should be eliminating 2–3 times a day, ideally after each meal. That rhythm mirrors the flow of life itself.

When you flood your body with living foods—raw fruits, greens, juices—you’re feeding your cells hydration, enzymes, and energy that sweep out waste and usher in vitality.
In contrast, processed foods, pasteurized dairy, and refined sugar clog the system, slow elimination, and burden the gut.
The result? Bloating. Fatigue. Inflammation. A body blocked from doing what it’s designed to do.

Digestion is more than a process. It’s a reflection of how we’re caring for our whole self.
Your body was created to do two things: Self-heal and self-cleanse.
But at the root of all disease, premature aging, and fatigue is one thing: stagnation. When things stop moving, when digestion slows, accumulation of toxins and acids build up in the blood, and over time, this is what stops health and healing from happening.
If your body can’t cleanse, it can’t heal.
Our role is to give it the raw materials and create the conditions for repair.

If you’re in any stage of disease, remember: It’s never too late.

Step Three in Your Raw Cleanse:
Move your body. Break a sweat.
Every single day.
Every single day.
Outside. In the sun. Breathing fresh air. This will activate your digestion and keep your body moving!
Tomorrow, I’ll share more about the science of sun, movement, and the oxygen factor. We’ll talk about sunblock, why sweating matters, and how the outdoors supports cellular healing.
In the meantime, renew your mind.
Eat healing.
Think healing.
Breathe healing.
Eat healing.
Think healing.
Breathe healing.
And if there are voices in your life—friends, doctors, even family—who aren’t speaking life over you right now, take some space.
Fill your world with truth: books, audio, community, Scripture, and mentors who remind you that your body can heal.
Because it will.
