Four farms gone. One harvest made it through. Two pieces were made from it, in a single batch.

There is a corner of Colorado where five farms used to grow these apples. Four of them have shut down. One is still standing, and this spring, frost took three of its orchards before a single apple set.

What survived, Jaime gathered.

The fruit pressed into oil. The leaves picked by hand. The beeswax poured around a wooden wick.

This is how we make things now. Small drops, from rare materials that are hard to find, made in one batch and never rushed. When the source runs out, the drop ends with it.

The Orchard Ritual is two pieces from that one harvest. A balm for your skin. A candle for your room. There is no second run, and the next chance is next autumn.

There were only so many apples. There is only so much beeswax. When they ran out, we stopped pouring. What is on this page is literally all there is.

The Scarcity Ledger

Three facts, from the farm.

No. 01

One farm left

Five farms in this corner of Colorado grew these apples. Four have closed. The one that remains is where Jaime picks, and its cool nights, high altitude, and hard ground ask something of every plant that grows there.

From the farm ledger
No. 02

The frost took three orchards

This spring, frost settled over three orchards on the east side of the mountain. No apples from those trees this season. The harvest that survived is the whole supply, and it is smaller than anyone wanted.

One batch, then the waitlist

Hand picked, hand pressed, poured in one batch. When it sells out, the waitlist opens, and it holds your place for next fall the way a good restaurant holds a table. We expect it gone by Sunday.

One for your skin.
One for your room.

Light the candle. Warm the balm between your palms. One scent on both labels: the whole room and your own skin, wearing the same autumn.

Orchard 22 Autumn Lotion Balm
Orchard 22 · The Harvest Balm
Piece No. 1

The Harvest Balm

Cedar ◆ Juniper ◆ Bergamot ◆ Sweet Orange

At its heart is cold pressed apple oil, pressed from the fruit itself. Apple and pear leaves gathered by hand, infused slowly alongside calendula and plantain, then farm beeswax for body and softness. A waterless balm that softens, comforts, and helps protect dry, weathered skin.

Warm it between your palms. Smooth it over skin that is asking for a little more tenderness. And breathe.

The Candle of the Orchard

Cedar ◆ Juniper ◆ Bergamot ◆ Sweet Orange

Hand poured farm beeswax with a wooden wick that crackles as it burns, like a tiny fire tucked into the room. A single ounce of beeswax represents as much as 300,000 to 400,000 miles flown, bees traveling flower to flower to leave behind this small golden trace.

Not an apple pie. Not a sugary autumn candle. The orchard itself.

Resilience system

This System is simple to use, the ingredients are carefully chosen and it’s everything your face needs in just 3 easy steps. This ritual has become part of my AM and PM skincare routine. The Moss serum feels so luxurious going on and my face literally soaks it up like a sponge. My skin feels pampered with this system, like I just experienced a Spa Day! I have delightfully discovered a natural “lit from within” glow with daily use. Last night, I actually had a server half my age randomly approach to say, “Excuse me, I just have to say your skin looks flawless!” At 51, what a compliment that is!

From Jaime

A letter from the orchard.

There is a particular cold in early morning harvest air, the kind that settles into your hands before the sun arrives.

The weight of fruit in your palm. Leaves brushing your arms beneath the trees. Cedar and juniper drifting through the orchard, brightened by the peel of a sweet orange.

It is a season of gathering. Orchard 22 was made to hold a little of it, in a balm for your skin.

Every apple carries something of where it grew: the soil, the cold nights, the sunlight, the elements. And there is something beautiful about a tree that learns to grow through adversity. As the terrain endures drought and the seasons ask more of it, the tree reaches deeper. Its roots travel farther into the earth, searching for what it needs to endure, to grow, to bear its rare fruit.

The richness of the struggle becomes part of the richness of its beauty.

And we wanted more than the fruit. So we went to the leaves. Our apple and pear leaves are gathered by hand from the western slope of Colorado, where cool nights, high altitude, and hard ground ask something of every plant, then slowly infused until the plants themselves become part of the balm.

And for the room

There is a place in the Colorado mountains we wait all year to return to. For a few short weeks each autumn, the trees grow heavy with fruit. The mornings arrive cool and quiet. The air smells of green leaves, crisp apples, damp earth, and split wood.

This candle was made to carry that feeling home. The aroma is crisp and green, warmed by wood and the quiet sweetness of harvest. Not an apple pie. Not a sugary autumn candle. The orchard itself, just as it is.

For a little while, let yourself step away. Back to a world of open windows and warm cups held between both hands. Evenings measured in candlelight instead of the clock.

From fruit to oil. From leaf to infusion. From harvest to skin.
Love from the orchard, Jaime

Before You Order

Questions, answered.

When does it ship?

This is a pre sale. Your order is placed now and ships in September, once the batch is finished, poured, and packed by hand on the farm.

Full ritual orders leave the farm first.

Will you make more of it?

No. There was one harvest from one farm, and it made one batch. When the fruit and the beeswax ran out, we stopped pouring. What is on this page is all there is.

What happens if I miss it?

We put you at the top of the waiting list for next fall, ahead of everyone else, and you hear from us before the next drop opens to anyone.

Buyers of the full ritual skip the list entirely. They join the house list and get first call on next autumn’s harvest.

What does it smell like?

Cedar, juniper, bergamot, and sweet orange. Crisp and green, warmed by wood and the quiet sweetness of harvest.

Not an apple pie. Not a sugary autumn candle. The orchard itself, just as it is. The balm and the candle share the scent, so the room and your skin wear the same autumn.

How do I use the balm?

Keep it nearby after bathing. While skin is still warm, massage a small amount between your palms until it melts, then smooth it over damp or dry skin. Take a slow breath and let the aroma linger.

It is waterless, so a little goes further than you expect. Face, hands, elbows, heels.

How do I burn the candle?

Trim the wooden wick to about a quarter inch before each burn. On the first burn, let the melt pool reach the edges of the vessel before you put it out. Never leave it burning unattended.

The wooden wick crackles as it goes, like a small fire tucked into the room.

Can I buy just one of them?

Yes. The balm is $68 and the candle is $89 on their own, $157 for the pair.

Together as the ritual they are $147, shipping is free, those orders ship first, and the balm effectively comes to $58.

Is shipping free?

Yes on the full ritual at $147.

THE ALCHEMY CODE · LONGEVITY SKINCARE

Your skin isn't broken. It's speaking.

Longevity skincare is the practice of supporting the skin's own intelligence instead of correcting it as if it were flawed. At The Alchemy Code, every formula is created by Jaime Cross, BCDNH (Board Certified Doctor of Natural Health) and Master Herbalist, whose waterless botanical formulas have reached over one million customers across sixteen years. We are the skin stewardship brand: while the industry corrects skin it treats as broken, we feed skin that is intelligent the raw materials it was designed to use.

Banner Image

The industry believes your skin is the problem.

Most skincare begins with one quiet assumption: that your skin is broken and needs to be fixed. Every wrinkle is a flaw, every breakout a battle, every year a thing to fight. We begin somewhere else entirely. Your skin is not the problem. Your skin is the messenger. It reflects your stress, your hormones, your nutrition, your environment, and your overall vitality. When it flushes, congests, or thins, it is not failing. It is telling you what it is missing. Our work is to listen, and then to feed it.

"Beauty isn't chased. It's cultivated."

The farmer's truth

A farmer cannot force a crop to grow. He cannot pull on the stem or command the soil. What he can do is create the conditions where growth happens on its own: healthy soil, clean water, sun, time. We think about your skin the same way. We are not here to override what your skin does. We are here to create the conditions where it can do it well.

The Four Laws of Skin Stewardship

01. Skin is intelligent.

It repairs, protects, renews, and adapts every hour of every day. Our job is to support those processes, never to override them.

02. Skin requires raw materials.

The body cannot build healthy tissue from nothing. Skin needs the nutrients, lipids, antioxidants, and botanical compounds it recognizes and can actually use.

03. The barrier is the linchpin.

A strong barrier holds moisture in and irritation out. Many products create a temporary result while quietly weakening the very function that keeps skin resilient. We feed the barrier instead of coating it.

04. Beauty emerges from health.

Lasting radiance is never applied from the outside in. It is the natural result of skin that is functioning the way it was designed to.

100% waterless.

Undiluted, by design.

We didn't join the waterless category. We created it. Conventional skincare is up to ninety-five percent water. Water demands preservatives, emulsifiers, and stabilizers to hold it together, and it dilutes everything you were hoping to put on your skin. Our formulas begin where theirs end: nutrient-dense oils, butters, resins, and whole botanicals, with zero water and one hundred percent botanical actives.

Waterless means nothing is diluted. Not the ingredients, not the results.

The scent is grown, not added.

Because nothing is diluted, there is no room for synthetic fragrance, the single most common irritant in clean skincare. What you smell is the formula: frankincense, rose, myrrh, and wild herbs in their rawest form. Every ritual is an aromatherapy sequence your skin and your nervous system both recognize. We do not add fragrance. We grow it.

Close-up of honeycomb structure

Nothing diluted. Nothing hidden. Nothing your skin wasn't designed to use.

FAQ's

Skin stewardship is the belief that skin is intelligent and self-renewing, and that the role of skincare is to supply the raw materials skin needs to do its own work, rather than to correct or override it.

Waterless skincare is formulated with zero water as a base. Conventional products are up to ninety-five percent water; every drop of an Alchemy Code formula is a functional botanical active instead.

Every formula is created by Jaime Cross, BCDNH (Board Certified Doctor of Natural Health) and Master Herbalist, who has formulated for over sixteen years.

It can be, because removing water removes the need for the preservatives and emulsifiers that often irritate reactive skin. Always patch test when introducing any new botanical.
