From Digestion to Complexion

From Digestion to Complexion

Posted by Jaime Cross on

New seasons bring the need for cleansing, inside and out. A chance to reset, simplify, and restore balance in both body and skin. For the next three days, we’ll focus on the basics: plant foods that lighten and cleanse, and pure botanicals that repair and protect your skin barrier.

Why this matters

Modern soaps are often detergent bars, or even so-called natural soaps, that strip your skin’s microbiome, while lotions dehydrate and leave behind toxins. When you replace them with cold-pressed oils, butters, herbal infusions, farm-fresh beeswax, and tallow, your skin barrier repairs itself - hello, anti-aging, anti-wrinkle, smooth, soft, glowing skin.

Pair this with a mucusless diet: fresh fruits, leafy greens, and non-starchy vegetables, and you create an inner terrain that’s clean, calm, and free for renewal.

A reset marks the beginning of a complete body transformation, where cellular energy is restored to cleanse and heal. This complete overhaul can take as long as three years to eliminate mucus from the body's tissues and reverse dis-ease.

Remember, we were not created to be sick, tired, and depleted. We were created for healing and vibrancy.

The 3-Day Reset:

Unlimited fruit

No dairy

Replace refined sugar with fruit

Replace processed food with fruits and veggies

What to expect in 72 hours

  • Lighter digestion, less mucus, and bloating

  • Softer, smoother, deeply hydrated skin

  • Fine lines appear softened as hydration stays put

  • A sense of clarity, calm, and renewal

Morning

  • Hydrate on waking: for the purpose of detoxing, drink distilled water with a few grains of sea salt… remember it’s only three days. Distilled water will pull heavy metals and toxins from the body.

  • Begin your day by fueling with fruit, alone: oranges, bananas, grapes, melons, and berries. Melons are always eaten by themselves.

Midday

  • Big raw salad: leafy greens, cucumber, celery, sprouts, fresh herbs. I love to add sauerkraut and other fermented foods. Feel free to whip up a homemade dressing with some raw honey and mustard.

  • Optional lightly steamed veg: zucchini, squash, or asparagus drizzled with olive oil and lemon.

Evening

  • Steamed or roasted non-starchy veg: broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, or greens.

  • Add raw salad again if desired.

Supportive Extras

  • Herbal teas (peppermint, ginger, nettle).

  • Rest between meals - no snacking to give digestion a full reset.

  • Gentle movement + deep breathing.

The 3-Day Skin Ritual

In the shower

  1. Cleanse with a true botanical bar, not detergent. Our soap has been proven for 15 years to transform the skin for the better with just one application.

  2. On warm, wet skin, glide on a waterless balm - let water and oils merge into a micro-emulsion that seals hydration.

After the shower

  1. Seal with the ABLE balm crafted from herbal infusions, beeswax, and nutrient-rich tallow.

  2. Breathe in the aroma, let your nervous system feel safe, restored, and renewed.
