The Seedless Fruit Dilemma

The Seedless Fruit Dilemma

Posted by Jaime Cross on

I often wonder how many of us, walking the grocery store aisles, truly realize what’s happening to our fruit (I mean our whole food system, really).  In my Detox Program, I frequently discuss fruit as the fountain of youth and life. One entire phase is dedicated to a complete fruit fast, because fruit in its original form is foundational for cleansing and powering the body for energy, healing, and beauty.

Yet today’s food supply increasingly favors pre-packaged, re-engineered “seedless” fruit, while stripping out nutrient-dense sovereignty, life, and resilience. All in the name of “convenience”.

I, and many others, see what’s playing out a little differently…

Inside a single seed lies concentrated nutrition, oils, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, and genetic instructions. It is the blueprint of the entire fruit, holding everything necessary to bring new life into being. Seeds are designed to create life, ours included.

Yet store shelves today are lined with seedless fruit, stripped of the very thing that made it whole.

Why? On the surface, seedless fruits are bred for convenience: easier to eat, faster to sell, and longer shelf life. But beneath that explanation lies another reality: when food no longer contains seeds, it no longer contains sovereignty. A seed is independence. A seed means you can grow your own. Seedless means you must return again and again to the system that created it.

It’s a picture of what’s happened to so much of our food supply. Convenience over vitality. Uniformity over life. Some say it’s simply modern agriculture; others whisper it’s a way to control resources at their very roots. After all, a world without seeds is a world where we can no longer choose self-sufficiency.

But when we return to food in its original form, seeded, living, unaltered, we tap back into nutrients, compounds, and intelligence that our bodies recognize and thrive on.

Seeded fruits and “living foods” are overflowing with antioxidants, fiber, minerals, and trace phytonutrients that aren’t just nutrition - they’re instruction manuals for our cells. They support energy, digestion, detoxification, and even help repair DNA. Living skincare works in the same way: infused botanicals and unprocessed oils feed your skin the way seeded fruits feed your body. Both work at the cellular level, where life and healing happen.

Because here’s the truth: our cells run on electricity. Minerals, water, and living compounds act like wiring and current, powering everything from muscle contraction to brain function to skin repair. When we eat dead foods or apply lifeless skincare, the current weakens. When we choose living, whole, seeded, and wild-sourced, our vitality increases.

3 Tips for Living Foods + Living Skincare:

  1. Choose seeded over seedless. Whenever possible, buy seeded grapes, watermelons, or berries. They’re richer in nutrients and closer to their natural design.
  2. Eat food that spoils. The faster it wilts, ferments, or browns, the more alive it is. Shelf-stable, processed foods are stripped of electricity.

  3. Use skincare that’s truly alive. Look for cold-pressed oils, herbal infusions, and wildcrafted ingredients. These carry enzymes and compounds that communicate with your cells for repair, hydration, and renewal. No surprise here - this is the CODE we live by.

Every choice matters. Each time you eat a seeded fruit or apply a Balm made from botanicals still brimming with life, you’re not just nourishing your body or skin, you’re fueling the electrical spark that keeps you alive, radiant, and resilient.

Let’s embrace God’s original design as often as possible - it’s there that we will find health, healing, and wholeness.
