There are often many ways to support the body, and many herbs that can help bring balance. What I offer is not a one-size-fits-all or a singular solution, but rather a starting point for deeper healing.
There is an abundance of information in society today, but a scarcity of wisdom. It’s essential to observe the body as you apply remedies, not just for what’s changing on the surface, but for what the body is trying to communicate beneath.
True healing is a dialogue. Symptoms are signals. And no protocol, no matter how “natural,” should override the body’s wisdom.
Honor the signs. Adjust as needed. And remember: your body is not broken, it’s intelligent, responsive, and always working toward balance.

Topical Remedies for Softening and Releasing Wax
Garlic Mullein Oil
Why: Antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and softens hardened wax.
How: Warm slightly (not hot), place a few drops in the affected ear, lie on your side for 5–10 minutes. Then, gently flush with warm water or a mild herbal ear wash.
Frequency: 1–2 times daily for 3–5 days.

Olive Oil or Castor Oil
Why: Lubricates and loosens impacted wax.
How: 2–3 drops in the ear at bedtime for a few nights. -
Onion Poultice or Juice
Why: Used historically for drawing out impurities and breaking up congestion.
How: A drop of strained onion juice (very diluted) can be used cautiously in the ear or around it externally.
Internal Detox and Lymphatic Flow

Ear Candling (Controversial but Traditional)
Though not medically endorsed today, many natural practitioners and indigenous cultures used it cautiously to draw out wax and congestion.
Ensure proper technique and never do it if there’s a perforated eardrum. -
Dry Skin Brushing and Rebounding
Supports lymphatic drainage, which I believe directly affects sinus and ear drainage. -
Steaming with Herbs
Boil water with thyme, chamomile, or eucalyptus. Lean over and inhale steam to help thin mucus and drain sinuses connected to the ears.
General Daily Practice
Stay hydrated (supports thinning of mucus).
Add a pinch of sea salt to water for mineral balance.
Avoid Q-tips, as they can push wax deeper.
"As a busy mom, what’s your daily routine for skincare?"
I love this question.
One of my number one rules, after all the holistic remedies and a beauty-from-within lifestyle, is simple: Never go to bed with makeup on.
Some nights, I race through my evening ritual in 90 seconds. Other nights, I linger for an hour, soaking in a full-body, soul-deep nourish. It all depends on the day. But no matter what, I always try to show up for my skin… and breathe in the aromas.
Daily, I double cleanse, tone, treat with serum, and hydrate.
Three times a week, I indulge in a masque and sneak away for a deeper dose of self-care.
At night, I start by double cleansing with our Resilience Gua Sha Oil. Yes, it’s a Gua Sha Oil, but the herbal infusion is powerful for moving lymph, firming the jawline, and making my skin absolutely glow. It even melts away eye makeup like a dream.
Then I follow with one of our bar soaps, usually rotating between Courage and Charcoal.
Next, I tone with the Rose Toner. I mist it onto an organic cotton pad and swipe it gently over my face, sometimes gliding it over the Calendula Facial Balm to lift any last traces of eye makeup with the dewy pad.
For treatment, I reach for Blackberry Leaf Serum in the summer, then seal it all in with the Calendula Facial Balm.
