AMA Wednesday: You asked, Jaime’s Answering - Gallstones, Infrared Sauna, and Detox Pathways

I’m loving our Wednesday Ask Me Anything sessions!

Every week, I answer your questions, from the practical to the profound, and I’m loving the depth and thoughtfulness you’re all bringing. Keep them coming, and stay tuned if you’re still waiting for yours to be featured!

This AMA might feel a bit like a fire hose…
While the principles of healing are simple, the process of healing can feel complex. I’m sharing this to inspire you, so you can move closer to total body transformation with clarity and confidence.

But if all you did was eliminate processed foods, refined sugar, and pasteurized dairy—and instead nourished yourself with whole, living foods… added fasting, hydration, movement, sunshine, joy, and faith—you’d already be well on your way.

Also, check out my disclaimer at the bottom of this message.

Q: How Do You Dissolve Gallstones Naturally?

I’m going to sound like a broken record here, but if you hear nothing else from me over the years, hear this:

The body was designed to cleanse and heal itself, and all dis-ease has one root.

Whether it’s gallstones or any other symptom, the deeper issue is often the same: toxemia and acidosis, a buildup of toxins and acids in the blood that aren't being properly eliminated.

When elimination slows, the blood becomes burdened, and those toxins begin to recirculate. This is what we call autointoxication, and it’s one of the most overlooked causes of chronic illness and premature aging.

Your body wants to detox—it does it every single day. But when we’re constipated, dehydrated, or stagnant, the detox pathways back up. And that’s when the trouble begins.

But, when we cleanse the blood, we heal the body.

When I work with the body, I always start with addressing and nourishing the terrain. My goal is to remove obstructions, support the cleansing process, and rebuild the tissues so the body can function as it was intended to.

Also, remember that if you are in a health crisis, it takes time and focus to support the body’s healing process. The body heals in layers, and each system can take months or years to rebuild itself. There is no magic pill or special three-day diet that can compensate for the years that created the dis-ease. If you want to heal, you must stop doing the things that created the illness and commit fully to a new lifestyle that rebuilds the body. Patience.

If I had gallstones, here’s what I would do:

  • Hydration: Start your day by flushing the liver with warm water, fresh lemon juice, and a few teaspoons of cayenne pepper.

  • Herbs and Natural Binders (more on binders in another email): Use liver- and gallbladder-supportive herbs, such as milk thistle, dandelion root, artichoke leaf, Oregon grape, peppermint, and ginger. Binders include chlorella (cracked cell wall), zeolite (clinoptilolite), and humic/fulvic acid. Much more to say on this, but this is a high-level overview.

  • Juices: Incorporate freshly-pressed apple juice (malic acid softens stones), beet-carrot-celery juice, and lemon-water tonics. Start with the three-day Apple Cleanse I shared a few weeks back. Three days of water and apple juice, along with some of the herbs mentioned above, and you are making a great start.

  • Castor oil packs over the liver area 3–4 times a week to reduce inflammation and support bile flow.

  • Flush: Some individuals opt for a liver/gallbladder flush using olive oil and citrus, although this should only be done after proper bowel cleansing and preparation.

  • Infrared Sauna + Coffee Enemas: These can accelerate detoxification and support liver function.

  • Colon cleansing: You cannot cleanse the liver without a clean bowel. Period.

Q: How Often and How Long Should I Use an Infrared Sauna?

I personally love and use infrared therapy several times a week during detox cycles.

Here’s how I do it:

  • Start slow: Begin with 10–15 minutes at a low heat setting.

  • Work up to 30–40 minutes, 3–5x per week. I do Finnish-style sauna at 180 degrees

  • Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate before and after with mineral-rich water or electrolytes. I love coconut water for hydration. The magic of an infrared and Finnish sauna is how many toxins you’ll sweat out, including mold and heavy metals.

  • Dry brush before entering and take a cold shower afterward to stimulate the lymphatic system and support elimination. I cold-plunge after my sauna sesh.

  • Pair it with herbs, movement, sunshine, and bowel cleansing for a complete detox protocol.

Q: How Do I Clear Detox Pathways?

This is one of my favorite questions. Detoxification isn’t just about taking a supplement or going on a fast. It’s about opening the pathways of elimination.

Here’s the Terrain Method I created to support whole-body cleansing:

Step-by-Step:

  1. Hydrate deeply with clean, structured water and herbal teas. During a detox I use distilled water.

  2. Cleanse the bowels through living food, enemas, herbs, binders, and colon hydrotherapy.

  3. Drain the liver and gallbladder with herbs and castor oil packs.

  4. Support kidneys with herbs like nettles, parsley, and cleavers.

  5. Activate lymphatic flow with movement, dry brushing, rebounding, and sauna therapy.

  6. Open the skin (our largest organ) through sauna, bathing, and exfoliation.

  7. Restore gut flora with fermented foods and probiotics.

  8. Strengthen adrenals + rebuild tissues with nourishing food and rest.

We can build the body as we support cleansing. This is important because some detoxes deplete the body. We don’t want to manipulate or force the body, we want to nourish and support it’s own systems of healing.
