When My Friends Ask Me to Help Them Detox

When my friends come to me and say,
"Jaime, I need a reset. My skin is breaking out, I feel bloated and am so constipated, I can’t think straight… Can you help me detox?"

First, here’s what I don’t tell them to do:

Reach for a trendy powder and expect deep cellular change.
Buy something with “cleanse” on the label and wait for the magi to happen. 

Sip on celery juice or grab the latest detox tea trending on Instagram.

Light a candle, take a bath, and call it a detox. LOL… I know you’d never do that. 😂

Detoxing the body isn’t a fad - it’s a layered, sacred process.
Done right, it’s one of the most powerful tools for healing and beauty.

Here are three questions I always ask my friends first:

1. Can you commit to doing the work,  not perfectly, but wholeheartedly?
If you just want to drop a few pounds or boost your energy and dabble, that’s okay. But I need to know your level of desire so I can guide you on the right path. Transformation takes more than interest,  it takes intention.

2. Can you show up for yourself,  not just for a week, but for a new way of living, even when it gets uncomfortable?
This question helps me understand where you're at with your goals. Because healing isn’t always convenient. It's inconvenient by nature, it calls us higher. And when I know what you're really after, I can help you succeed with clarity and grace.

3. Are you open to going deeper than you've ever gone, not with shortcuts, but with nourishment, strategy, and truth?
If I’m going to walk with you on this detox journey, I go all in. I’ve been the one who was more committed than my client or friend,  and I’ve learned the power of anchoring someone into their own "yes."
Because when things get hard,  and they always do,  I can remind you:
You said yes. Your body deserves your continued yes.

When we begin with the end in mind, and go all in together, extraordinary results happen. Can’t wait to share some of the amazing life changing stories of women who are owning their health and healing again.

Until then, here are three ways to prep your body for a deep cleanse if you have a desire to do so.

Swap refined sugar, processed foods, and pasteurized dairy with living foods. Think leafy greens, smoothies, freshly pressed juices, fruits, and all the goodness. Small steps create momentum over time! 

Swap out any personal care items with Remedies and ingredients that are so pure you can eat them - we gotcha covered. 

Break a sweat every day - at the very least, just start walking daily. Grab a pedometer and if you walk 5000 steps today, do 5500 tomorrow. Keep increasing your movement and break a sweat.
