It was 5am. Dark outside, tea in hand, and I was right where I always start…
Bible open, prayers spoken, doing all the “right” things. Except the one thing I’d committed to doing.
My Barre class.
I had every excuse ready. The class was full, I was on the waitlist, and really, wouldn’t sitting here be just as productive?
But then I thought about HER. You know the one… the woman who doesn’t wait politely for their moment, but took hold of it and created powerful change.
There’s courage in that kind of assertiveness. Not the loud, showy kind but the steady, quiet kind that refuses to shrink back. The kind that believes healing, change, transformation are worth pushing through for.
So, I got up. I left my cozy couch.
And I went anyway.
The class was still full when I arrived, but someone hadn’t shown up. There was a space waiting for me.
That moment reminded me of something I see in so many women including myself.
We tend to hold back. Wait for the perfect moment. Be polite.
But courage and assertiveness? They go hand in hand. They ask us to show up even when it’s uncomfortable.
Because transformation, real transformation, starts when you stop shrinking back and start showing up for yourself. When you commit to honoring what your body needs: movement, nourishment, rest.
Body Alchemy is about more than just changing your shape. It’s about supporting every part of you—cells, metabolism, mind—so your body can function the way it was designed to.
Movement reduces inflammation. It strengthens your heart, improves digestion, clears brain fog, and yes, brings that glow back to your skin.
But it all starts with courage.
The courage to stop overthinking it. The courage to push through the excuses.
The courage to take your healing into your own hands and say…
This matters. What I’m called to do matters…
That’s the kind of courage that creates lasting change.
And I just wanted to remind you of that today.
Because I know you carry a lot. I know the to-do lists are long.
But I also know this: when you show up for yourself in even the smallest ways, everything shifts.
