What Are Skin Tags

Posted by Jaime Cross on

If you’ve ever noticed a tiny, soft piece of skin hanging off your neck, eyelid, or underarm, chances are it was a skin tag. I have friends who use scissors to cut them off… Um, no, thank you. Lol…

These harmless growths are very common, especially as we age or when the skin experiences friction. And, while they aren’t dangerous, many people find them bothersome or simply want them gone.

So what are they?
Skin tags are small, benign clusters of collagen fibers, blood vessels, and skin cells that form where skin rubs together. Hormones, insulin resistance, and inflammation may also play a role in their development.

Can they be removed naturally?
Many doctors remove skin tags with quick, in-office procedures, yet there are gentle, natural approaches that may help:

  • Castor Oil & Baking Soda Paste – Used traditionally to dry and shrink small tags.

  • Blackberry Leaf Serum – With infused herbs and sea buckthorn oil, this serum has been shown to cause moles, skin tags, and growths to fall off over time, and reveal soft, new skin.

  • Essential Oils (like Tea Tree) – Known for their drying and antimicrobial properties.

  • Lifestyle Support – Reducing sugar, balancing hormones, and improving circulation may help prevent new ones from forming.

  • Your body was created to heal, and sometimes these small signals are reminders to bring things back into balance from the inside out.
