Is Peppermint Essential Oil Good For Your Face?

Whenever I’m building a new remedy, I carefully consider the essential oil profile. Essential oils aren’t just aroma-therapeutic - they carry specific benefits when applied correctly to the skin.
Too much, and they can overwhelm or even irritate. Too little, and their power is lost.
So, as I was concepting ABLE, I wanted to invigorate the body while nourishing the face… a delicate balance. I’ll discuss all things lemongrass and eucalyptus another day, but today I wanted to share more about why I chose peppermint as an unusual yet key component for boosting glow and overall beauty for face and body. It’s gentle yet perfectly invigorating in this blend. I love it so much.
Peppermint is:
1. Cooling & Soothing
Peppermint contains menthol, which gives a cooling sensation and can help reduce the discomfort of itching, irritation, or heat. It's especially helpful for soothing inflamed or acne-prone skin.
2. Purifying
Peppermint oil has antibacterial and antifungal effects, which may help reduce acne-causing bacteria on the skin, supporting clearer skin over time.
3. Circulation-Boosting
The tingling sensation from menthol can stimulate microcirculation, which helps skin look more vibrant and oxygenated.
4. Astringent Qualities
Peppermint has mild astringent properties, which can help tighten pores and reduce excess oil, making it useful for oily or combination skin types.
5. Aromatic Energy
The invigorating aroma of peppermint has been shown to reduce mental fatigue and uplift mood, making it a great addition to a morning ritual or skin revival treatment.
I wanted ABLE to do more than support hydration and renewal… but also spark something inside.
Peppermint was the finishing note that made it complete.
And now, every time I use it, I’m reminded that glow is more than topical, it’s energizing alchemy.
