Am I Going Backwards?

Am I Going Backwards?

We often imagine growth like a trebuchet. You know… just load up the vision, pull the lever, and watch life launch forward in a spectacular arc.

Boom. New season. New momentum. Wild breakthroughs.

But what if your journey feels more like a slingshot?

Pulled back.
Way back.
So far in the opposite direction that it feels like you’re losing ground.

The reality is that new growth usually presents tension before it presents a trajectory, and the pullback is necessary for power.

So when the moment comes, you’re launched farther and faster than you ever could have gone without it.

Progress is often disguised as delay. As a setback.

Most of the time, it feels like nothing’s happening or you’ve done all you can, and yet, nothing seems to be working… it can be disguised as stillness.

But don’t mistake the backward motion and the present stillness for a lack of success.
My encouragement to you today is to remind you that you’re being positioned.

The launch is coming.

Much of our health depends on our perspective. When disappointment and sorrow set in because we don’t recognize the signs of the season, and we live in perpetual stress, it affects everything from our mind to our digestion, skin, and overall health and well-being.

The one thing we can always do is keep moving forward and keep a glass-half-full perspective. Pivoting, trying new things, and even standing firm in stillness, because we know we will reap due rewards when the timing is right.

Having this viewpoint will help your body and soul heal.

Keep going, you’ve got this.
