A Golden Ritual From My Kitchen to Yours

A Golden Ritual From My Kitchen to Yours

Posted by Jaime Cross on

The boys have been eagerly awaiting snow, but I remind them not to wish away the current day and to embrace the beauty of this stunning season.

As the leaves turn and the air grows crisp, fall invites us to slow down, sip something warm, and care for our skin with intention.

I find myself lingering longer in the simple things, reading one more book to my littlest two, or walking a little farther with my older three for deeper conversations. I truly love fall and all that it represents: rest.

One of my favorite restful rituals is indulging myself in a golden Turmeric Latte with Coconut Milk - rich in antioxidants, calming for inflammation, and nourishing from the inside out. Turmeric’s curcumin soothes the skin by fighting oxidative stress, while coconut milk offers healthy fats that hydrate and protect. It’s more than a drink - it’s a glow-giving ritual. The boys love them, too. We drink them together almost every day.

And for the outside? Pair it with our Wilder Body Oil, a true alchemy of botanicals:

  • Olive, Camelina, Evening Primrose & Jojoba Oils - rich in omegas for supple, hydrated skin.

  • Echinacea, Cleavers & Astragalus - herbal allies that support renewal, resilience, and skin tone.

  • Sea Kelp & Rosemary - minerals + antioxidants for vitality and protection.

  • White Grapefruit, Lemongrass, Bergamot & Juniper Berry - invigorating aromatherapy to awaken body and soul.

Together, this latte and Wilder Oil are a recipe for soft skin, calm spirit, and a nourished soul. I’ll often rub the oil on the boys’ feet for some immune-boosting support. They love it.

Turmeric Latte Recipe

  • 1 cup coconut milk (or almond milk) - I make my own… the store-bought stuff is cluttered

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp ginger - I love to grate some fresh ginge, but powdered works well, too

  • Pinch of black pepper (to activate curcumin)

  • 1 tsp raw honey or more to taste (optional)

Warm gently on the stove, whisking until golden and aromatic. Pour into your favorite mug, sip slowly, and feel the glow.
